Generosity of thought has to be more than just extending consideration to like, the most famous thinkers and the loudest talkers and those with the biggest platforms.
Think of how different academia would be if, instead of musing about 'cancelling aristotle' we talked about the tremendous loss of knowledge because academia systematically excludes people?
What if we considered it 'cancellation' that adjuncts aren't given the means to pursue research and the fact that unaffiliated scholars are widely looked down upon?
If you think generosity of thought is merely the consideration of bad ideas, then your conception of generosity is so impoverished that I don't know where to begin.
