For my it is still not clear how real the bid is. Certainly some serious people involved but have not seen anyone with deep enough pockets yet. Some rumor that this was about putting pressure on @AllBlacks for a Pasifika team in Auckland.

Hawaii could be a great place for a pro rugby team but all the logistical and financial barriers to any pro team exist and @KanaloaRugby have yet to provide any solutions either in owners with enough money or agreements.

US immigration laws are not being considered when they state that this is a pathway for players who get lost in academies in NZ, or untapped talent from across the pacific islands. @usmlr teams have had visa issues for anyone who has not player super rugby.

I am excited about @KanaloaRugby & the potential for a team in Hawaii. It would be great for the league, US rugby & there is definitely enough PI talent in US, Am. Samoa, Hawaii for this to be a powerhouse. Just still waiting for something concrete to know they can pull it off.
