While the GRA consultation report has been further delayed, Women and Equalities Minister Liz Truss did just face a question on what steps the Government is taking to tackle transphobic discrimination from Labour MP Nadia Whittome.
Liz Truss: "Let me be absolutely clear. We will not be rolling back the rights of transgender people - it is important that transgender people can live their lives without fear."
Follow-up question from Labour Shadow Minister Marsha de Cordova, who again noted the repeated delays and asked when plans for reform will be announced.

Truss repeats point on responding to the consultation over the summer. "I'm very keen to get on with that response."
This, to me, is a very interesting statement. No repeat of Truss' previous comments on "checks and balances" on trans equalities. A possible sign of the Government backing down on anti-trans proposals. Regardless - we need to keep up the pressure. https://twitter.com/NotRightRuth/status/1285889182104195072
If you haven't already written to or phoned your MP about opposing any rollback of trans rights legislation, please do so - especially if they are a Tory. You can also ask LGBT and women's organisations to make a statement. Advice and templates here: https://transrightsuk.carrd.co/

This is something we need to keep a very close eye on - along with local councils removing trans equality guidance for schools in response to legal threats. https://twitter.com/NicoleteBurbach/status/1285891286684389376
