I don't really know what the Labour Party is for or what Starmer is trying to shape it into? He won't win Scotland, boundary changes almost certain to rule out England and Wales, and he hasn't had the honeymoon 'bounce' expected, yet his MPs seem to be abandoning...
... any case for progressive politics (see Duffield's latest tweets), and appear to be tacking right of the tories on social conservatism? Is it that the party wants to be perceived as simultaneously culturally regressive, but pro-european?...
Will this gamble pay off, or just make the party appear confused and incoherent?
Even the soundbites like 'jobs jobs jobs' are meaningless. It's little wonder that Starmer is so far incapable of outpolling Johnson on approval.
