I am guilty of ageism. My deepest apologies.

Anyone older that 50 years should not be making policy in Pakistan, in subject areas which disproportionately impact youth.

All political parties should be mandated to introduce 33% seat nominations for 25-35 years demographic.
More unpopular opinion:

The National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies should have Youth quotas.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs should not be given to anyone older than 35 years.

The Minister for Youth Affairs should be a member of every Parliamentary committee.
I am inclined to believe, after interacting with young people across the political spectrum, that there is indeed talent and tolerance in young representatives/supported every political party.

Pakistan’s median age is 23 years. The men running it are TWICE this.
I am very thankful for all the learning experienced seniors have to offer. I do not see why we cannot learn good things from them. They are mentors and teachers.

They will remain influential.

But we just need better, empathetic, energetic, innovative individuals running things.
For example, the bans of mobile apps, the antagonism against information technology, the consistent downplaying of issues, these aren’t themes prominent in Governance circles alone; think about your family and it will likely be the popular opinion among the elderly.
Everyone has the right to disagree. I am happy to correct myself.

If we are just in it to consistently repeat the cycle of wasting talented young women and men, chasing them away, generation after generation, then the current arrangement is fine.

If not, then try this.
