The erasure of the Hindu identity of Kashmir has been taking place of centuries now:

1. Multiple genocides and exodus of Kashmiri Pundits by Islamic invaders and later by Jihadists, many incidents to induce fear by murder/rape in order to minimize their presence in the valley.

2. Changing names of key towns & places in Kashmir to give them an Islamic character from its previous Hindu identity. In 1980, the Abdullah Govt changed 2,500 villages from their original names to new Islamic names. Even after the exodus, the changing of names kept happening.

3. 4. JKLF with the help of ISI was able to operate training camps, in which they spread anti-Hindu sentiments, convincing many of the need to cleanse the Valley of its Hindu population. Abdullah referred to Kashmiri Pandits as “Mukhbir” meaning “informers of the Indian government”.

5. Today the propaganda is at its peak, where Indian forces are being described as 'occupying forces.' Kashmiri Hindus are being kept out of the equation, and Kashmir has become synonymous with 'Muslim struggle' with them showing NO signs of guilt or sympathy towards the past.
