Genghis Khan, real name, "Temujin" was a genius warrior and ruler who came from nothing although his father was a tribal ruler. He brought together the nomadic tribes of Mongolia (a country four times the size of France) under the rule of himself and his family in a rigid state.
He assumed the title of Genghis Khan "Universal Leader", when he conquered the Mongolian tribes from his uncles and brothers who didn't share in his policies where he forbade looting of enemies without permission, sharing of spoils with his warriors and their families, etc
Ghenghis Khan was a genius who used elaborate spy system, bloody seige warfare, etc to understand his enemies. He made lenient policies to locals, which cajoled them to follow him with hopes of amnesty and fairness.
Many times, he treated the people of other countries better than their own previous rulers had done. Many of his generals were former enemies.
Despite his many successful political and social changes, Genghis was also a destructive and intimidating ruler.
Despite his many successful political and social changes, Genghis was also a destructive and intimidating ruler.
He led conquest that seriously depopulated large areas of central Asia and Northeastern Iran, complicating his image as a peaceful ruler practicing religious tolerance. Any city or town that resisted the Mongols was subjected to destruction.
About 5-10 percent of the world population, that is, 20-40 million people were killed or died because of his attacks. Famine and disease killed a large portion of the people.
By the time he died in 1227, he controlled almost 1/3 of Asia. His personal empire was more than 2 times bigger than the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great.
Scientists in the Russian Academy of Sciences estimates he has 16 million male descendants living today in Central Asia, that's at least 0.5% of the world's population. (Maybe that's the reason why most Asian men look alike
)

When Genghis Khan died in 1227, he ordered his burial site be kept a secret. To this order, his heirs slaughtered over 2000 people who set eyes on his funeral procession. They buried him in an unmarked grave and to this day no one has found the grave.
The End.
The End.
