Y'day there was a bit of a meltdown with my son - with all the stress and confinement at home since last 4 months due to Covid. Started with me telling him he's having too much screentime and he retaliating that he has nothing else to do after online classes. #COVID19 #children
He said not meeting friends to play with .. everyone being busy on their phones and laptops all the time including me who's always on twitter
#screentime #SocialMedia all he has for entertainment is to meet his friends online and do some gaming !

I realised it's tough time for children.. so did some reading and found this WHO resource useful. https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public/healthy-parenting
@serioustaurean the one wonderful hands on parent I know - please add your inputs !
So the changes with effect from today
1. Getting back to books - ordered a new stash -amazon !
2. Re starting gully cricket
3. Evening walks and cycling
4. Limited screentime of 1 hour each on Sat/Sunday - apart from online classes daily.
5. One or two Netflix kid movies/week
