Tools to have for your ukuphahla Impepho, Snuif, ikhandlela, Cup of water( Ku kango)
The most important tool to have on this list is snuif. If you have nothing else on you, at least have enough snuif to toss a few pinches on the ground for your ancestors.

Imphepho you can do with out, thina abanye sihlala emakhethenini ayitshiseki. I would recommend for a start qala with just your snuif and you.

Clan names - Have in mind before you phahla your lineage. Amabizo lezibongo zabo etc however a personal recommendation is don't use names/surnames main reason being u don't know if isibongo sakho yiso sibili.only ur mother knows that

Candles - there are different colours of candles with different uses and meaning. we will do a thread on candle colours. For a start keep it simple ikhandlela elimhlophe eliyi one will do.
