Ok, here goes - @OBF_BOSC #BOSC2020 #BCC2020 talk about #MultiQC updates in twitter / gif format..

#MultiQC is a tool to make bioinformatics QC visual and easy, instead of collating numbers from hundreds of log files manually.
[1/9]
#MultiQC is written in Python and can be installed via @pypi and #bioconda. It generates a report summarising outputs from lots of tools across multiple samples. It also saves this data as CSV / YAML etc.

What started as an internal reporting tool become super popular! 🎉
[2/9]
#MultiQC now supports nearly 100 different bioinformatics tools and has been worked on by even more contributors on @github - https://github.com/ewels/MultiQC

Check out the bump in modules after the @OBF_BOSC 2017 CoFest hackathon!
[3/9]
#MultiQC now works great on @Windows and has optimised images available for @Docker and @SingularityApp, as well as a @galaxyproject wrapper. Basically, you can use it just about everywhere!

[4/9]
Recent code refactoring allows you to import #MultiQC into Python scripts and generate reports. I hope to improve this in the future to allow fine-grained parsing and plotting, should work really well with analysis in @ProjectJupyter notebooks!

[5/9]
You can customise almost everything in a MultiQC report, as well as supplying arbitrary input data: https://multiqc.info/docs/#custom-content

This support is getting better, allowing native report feel for whatever inputs your analysis generates.

The latest release gives a new flag to help you figure out how to speed up run time (if you need to - you probably don't).

Together with the new docs section, this helps you to squeeze every second out of your pipeline run: https://multiqc.info/docs/#optimising-run-time

[7/9]
#MultiQC is free and open-source software. You can find the code on GitHub and the homepage is https://multiqc.info/
