the issue too is how to keep dust from choking off the pathways in the leaf material, stuff like this. i figure they chose grass for the wind and dust moving through it as opposed to like idk, moss where it settles over it
the roots too as with dunes anchor sand, it's probably the most adamant and resilient thing to throw at it
as for bowstring it's usually some stripped fibrous material with a green stem celery quality, worked into a hempish material and combined with wax or some sort of lacquerish firming material to keep it from separating
the hardest thing too you can make for primitive tech is good thread. ive seen things with aloe but that's it
and reliable fishhooks, other than that and filtering/finding clean water it's actually not that bad in most regions
it's not that people would die out there if they were savvy too, most just like convenience and comfort and therefore it's the usual with reliance, if they would these days it's more likely due to our environmental impact than the usual inherent problems
