This clip is great. Dave Chappelle’s entire INSIDE THE ACTOR’S STUDIO is great. Few people are better at explaining how the entertainment industry can break people’s brains.

So... why mock women who quit show business over sexual harassment for having “a brittle ass spirit”? https://twitter.com/ferrari_simp/status/1285640661258113024
Fully aware I’m opening a huge Pandora’s box by even *touching* this subject on Twitter, but I find it so frustrating.

He’s so good at expressing struggles that relate to him and yet so weirdly committed to billitilling other people’s struggles.
I love that he gets fully serious with things like 8:46, but coming after several specials where he criticizes trans people for not being able to “take a joke”...?

I still enjoy about half of his output, but the other half just feels deeply hypocritical at this point.
I’m not saying every comedian needs to be everything to everyone at all times, but they should at least aim to be consistent with their own ethos.

Anyway! Fun times on Twitter dot com: the best place for nuanced public discussions on complicated subjects!
