How has people's experience been renting an apartment and calling in-house maintenance vs renting to a single entity such as landlord and having to call for some late night plumbing?
I have so much anxiety and stress related to moving out and building my own life when I have never even done my own laundry on my own and other related tasks - imagine fixing up IKEA furniture on your own or installing some general appliances. Fuck.
I will one day make a very good thread and figure out if that view + gym + swimming pool contract is worth the glitz and glam vs saving money by living in a basement.
For some reason, the most important aspect of me moving out is figuring out where I'll be living for 365 days.
Also budgeting. What the fuck is that? Is buying a car worth it so I can manage groceries or will having to carry them on public transport be okay? Saving quite a few hundred dollars on this and fuel costs.
I have all these questions and yet I know I'll be told, you're in good hands. Don't even think about it- we've got you a place. Here's a car you can borrow. A public transport card if you need it and a fucking free Amazon and Costco shared membership.
The unexciting part about Canada is. Even though I'll be moving to a completely different country. The moment I'll land I'll have 10 people helping me set up into my new home and it won't feel like a complete task. I don't know if I want that? 🥺
