I think people are scared to like this scene because of how horrible antis are about it. But I love it. She looks at him and he looks away like this is the last thing he wants. #reylo
I'm sad the complexities and nuances of this scene are lost because people just see Rey as this weak girl being tortured when this scene is showing the exact opposite.
And what I love about this and I'm sure it's been said to death at this point is that Ben isn't frustrated by her power. He's frustrated that yet again he's failing Snoke. It's why he immediately goes to Snoke to tell him what happened. Ben doesn't want Snoke to throw him away.
He's scared of being thrown away again, like he feels his family did to him. And you know he feels this way because when Rey asks why Ben killed Han and she says she doesn't understand, Ben answers with "No? Your parents threw you away like garbage?" He's asking the question-
because he's saying "How could you not understand? My parents threw me away too." It's a subconscious thing he doesn't realize he's projecting onto Rey just as much as she's projecting her daddy issues onto Han and Luke. Now to us it seems the right choice would be to send him-
to Luke but it's obvious Ben didn't want to go. He thought they were just trying to get rid of him because he was a "problem child." The best part is you really don't need the books/comics to figure any of this out they just further confirm it.
Anyway this scene is really good and Rey is not a damsel in distress she dead ass almost made it out the door by herself when she runs into Han, Chewie, and Finn. LOL
