Fact check for #ableg reporters on the minister's news conference today. The increase to operating funding is money announced in the Feb budget and is not new money for COVID response. Also, a lot of that money was reallocated from RCSD and isn't new money, just shuffled around.
The additional capital funding is not targeted for COVID either. Some projects may end up helping (bottle fillers etc.), but it's stimulus money, not money specifically to fit up buildings.
