Ok, all - please make this your afternoon read:

"DOJ plans to announce this week that the operation, which involves agents from the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration, will expand into more cities, a DOJ official told POLITICO." https://www.politico.com/news/2020/07/21/trump-federal-force-cities-377273
Some critical questions to ask city officials right now (especially if you live in a city like LA, Chicago), is how your electeds will handle this.

1. What's their plan to oppose this + how will they protect their citizens?
2. Will local law enforcement agree to not cooperate?
3. Will elected officials make these statements publicly?
4. Will they agree to take legal action against the federal government?
5. How will a city respond if/when these federal teams get out of hand?

(Or what's their emergency response plan?)
6. Are they coordinating this response with other levels of government - e.g. county, state, federal?

Remember: all offices talk. AND as someone who used to work in city gov., these are questions I would be considering + want answered.
