Dear Christian people:

When you say, “Of course I’m returning my child to school because I know the Lord is on my side” ... it tells me you think the Lord was not on my side on 12/14.

My bible tells me the Lord is always with us. Especially in suffering.

Let me tell you something before you learn it the hard way:

Sometimes bad things happen. And it has nothing to do with your faith or your prayers.

I believe part of why we do this is because it’s easier to blame ourselves than hold people accountable and demand change. Demand justice. Explain evil.

But we must not. And we need all of our voices working together now more than ever.
