i am so very done with crazy standards put on women for their bodies. i’m tired of it.
was just told “Make sure you focus on getting back in shape in the first few weeks once the baby is here. It’s important”. 🤯
It’s taken me 9 months to build a HUMAN with my body. I am going to spend those “crucial” weeks soaking in every minute of newborn snuggles, struggles, and all that having our lil bean entails. Getting my “body back” in those first few weeeks will certainly not be my priority.
This body’s work is far from done. It’s going to be feeding and sustaining this little human for who knows how long after it’s born. I don’t need to get my “body back”, it never left. If anything, it’s shown up more now than ever before.
It takes 9 months for your body to work it’s ass off to change and grow a whole new LIFE. It won’t take 3 weeks to snap back, nor does it need to snap back. Oh, and this comment was from a man. ✨
