This is a valved N95 called an “envomask” from a company called “clear air” - it doesn’t “provide source control” either
These "exhalation valves" don't filter the breath the wearer is expelling – that's literally the point of these exhalation valves.
Here’s the thing: that unfiltered breath could be laden with SARS-CoV-2.
And that's why I simply wear a procedure mask over my valved N95.
