It inlcudes health checklists, sick leave support for teachers and parents, class size limits, resources and supplies that are made available to students and teachers, access to testing for teachers, outbreak management plans for schools, and HVAC assessment and optimization. /2
The ATA has been working with an epidemiologist around current scientific understandings of COVID 19. Our concerns are sincere and routed in making sure scenarios are examined for improvements. Government must address the concerns of teachers and parents sooner than later. /3
School is important to teachers, students, their families and the greater community. We cannot short change the re-entry with a lack of funding to adequately support any plan. The government needs to give us a fighting chance. /4
