ron grew up poor. He always had hand-me-down clothes,wands and even got percys old rat. he was always struggling to hide his jealousy of Harry's wealth but even though he complained about maroon sweaters and used dress-robes, ron truly appreciated what he had

when ron first met harry on the train to hogwarts he offered him his sandwich which was the only thing he had. he offered harry his home, even shared his family with harry and during the school holidays he sent harry treats/sweets via owl post

when ron found out harry’s aunt and uncle wouldn’t let harry back to hogwarts he stole his fathers enchanted car and went to get harry even though he knew he would get in trouble. he really was the best friend harry could’ve ever had

ron sometimes struggled. felt like he wasn’t good enough. felt like he had to live up to all his brothers, the child that was less loved by his mother, the girl he loves prefers his friend. of course he knew that wasn’t true but sometimes he struggled and allowed that emotion out

he had a broken wand for a full year, he never once complained, he understood it was his fault it was broken and understood his parents couldn’t afford another

let’s go to ps. ron put himself into harms way to allow harry to go on to retrieve the philosophers stone. he didn’t idle on the fact he could’ve died, he just did it because he knew how important it was for harry to carry on

now let’s go to cos. ron admitted his fear of spiders was due to a prank his older brothers fred and george did, turning his teddy bear into a spider. and even then he STILL follows the spiders with harry and faces aragog and his family

ron helped harry save his sister ginny, he didn’t get no praise, no thankyou, while everyone went to hug harry he stood back and watched happy that he got his sister back and that harry was also safe

now let’s go to poa. ron first of all told hermione she was no longer on her own with the buckbeak trial. ron stood on a broken leg, shielded harry and told sirius black who everyone thought at the time was a murderer that if he wanted to kill harry he would have to kill him too

ron constantly stuck up for hermione. “you asked her a question, she knows the answer” even though they bickered like typical children he always had her back

he was the comedian. during dark and scary situations ron was there to make harry and hermione laugh, make them feel at ease and to also help them out

ron is actually very smart. he was the one who told harry that the black dog had something to do with sirius black. he was the one who told harry to stop saying voldemort’s name in the sixth book because it felt jinxed. but of course harry didn’t listen

ron was very insensitive when it came to magical creatures, house elves and was very suspicious of goblins but as the years went on he changed, even wanting to save the house elves from the war

when he left in dh. he knew instantly he made a mistake and kept trying to make it back. he saved harry and accepted the fact he was out of order. it takes courage for someone to admit when they are in the wrong and takes even more bravery for him to seek redemption

let’s also talk about the fact he explained to harry what the term mudblood meant whilst throwing up slugs!!! the fact he stuck up for hermione when she was called mudblood. the fact he was constantly called a blood traitor, everyone seems to ignore that

ron weasley wasn’t perfect, he made mistakes, he was always aware of the mistakes he made, he got jealous from time to time but always had harry and hermiones back. that’s what makes him my favourite character. he truly deserves the world
