A small photo thread from last night’s protests.
The crowd was at least triple(?) the size from the previous few nights. The earlier portion of the evening was led again by the Moms.
The march wound around downtown, passing by the George Floyd mural for a moment of silence.
After the march, the crowds thinned a little and protesters converged on the courthouse. Some blocked the makeshift openings that LE officers use to shoot out crowd control munitions. Others tore off pieces of plywood (there’s a video posted earlier on my timeline).
Officers emerged and immediately started with the crowd control.
They eventually retreated back to the courthouse. All of those tubes on the ground in the 1st photo are spent munitions casings. 20 mins after they disappeared inside I went home, missing the disturbing drawn handgun incident that happened a short while later.
One more photo because I liked this protester. They calmly walked around all evening waving a flag, even when being fired upon.
