Tin-foil hat time: Organizations like @DigitalAssets @Bakkt are sophisticated honey pots for aggregating #Bitcoin
in custody & trading to slowly subsume w/ a $ CBDC product. I have no evidence of this. They talk interoperability at point of sale, but we're really talking fees.

All you have to do is create an incentive in which people willingly give up their private keys (to an exchange / custodian / broker) in order to be the beneficiary of large gains. The end game is majority holding & single point of legislative targeting.
The solution for many of these firms isn't to connect networks, it's to become the intermediary by building an integration stack. In other words, not interested in value flow between networks, just value flow to their network (w/ simple consumer view). Selfish vision.
As a general paradigm contracts, let my position be clear. Value should be free, limited only by the primary holder. The idea of hegemonic CBDCs as a world currency is an abomination to me & is bound to be an oppressive instrument. NO!
Many incumbents are struggling with how they can avoid being disintermediated. They are not allies. They just want to position themselves as the primary gatekeepers for our choices. It's fine, they can exist, but not at the expense of our value choices. Interoperability will win.
