Cis people accusing trans people of reinforcing gender stereotypes is so fucked up.
There are gender non conforming trans people. However, it’s so hard to be one of them because if you don’t adopt a certain femininity or masculinity as a trans person, cis people will often refuse to recognize you as your gender.
It’s often the same people who accuse trans people who overperform masculinity/femininity of „being tools of the patriarchy“ and calling those who don’t fakers or trenders.
It’s a very thin line that’s impossible to walk on.

Those who say „if you played with a certain toy as a kid you might be x gender“ are most often cis people because trans people know it’s bullshit (of course there are always exceptions).
All of this is even harder for non-binary people. In our binary culture and society there is (almost) no passing as non-binary. Unless you’re in certain bubbles „passing as non-binary“ means looking ambiguous enough to make cis people look twice or more.
