These records he holds will never be broken. And did these while driving an Alfa Romeo. The first legend.

He drove in the very 1st F1 race scoring a total of 3 points in his career. His fifth place in the 1950 Italian GP made him the oldest driver ever to score championship points

Day 7| Walt Faulkner 🇺🇸 
February 16 1918 – April 22 1956

Faulkner competed mainly in the National Championship and in stock car races. In 1950 Faulkner became the first rookie to win pole position at the Indianapolis 500, which was part of the F1 championship at the time.

Day 8| Johnnie Parsons 🇺🇸
July 4, 1918 – September 8, 1984

He won the Indianapolis 500 in 1950 and had the dubious distinction of being the only Indy 500 winner to have his name misspelled on the Borg-Warner Trophy. The silversmith carved "Johnny" instead of "Johnnie."

He participated in one F1 GP in 1952. He finished 12th, scoring no points.

He finished second at 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans only weeks before the accident on the Tour de France in which Peter was killed.

He participated in 12 World Championship F1 GPs. He scored a total of three championship points. His fifth place in the 1950 Italian Grand Prix made him the oldest driver ever to score championship points.

He entered 3 GPs scoring 0 points

He founded the magazine Das Auto and he was the first German ever to take part in a Formula One Grand Prix.

Pietsch was also the first Grand Prix driver to reach the age of 100.

Was on pole for the 1951 Indy 500

In 1949, he was involved in a crash where the car burst into flames. He survived only because he held his breath, and he jumped out of the car while it was still moving.

Day 19| Lee Wallard 🇺🇲
September 7 1910-November 29 1963

In the 1951 Indianapolis 500 Wallard drove the Number 99 Belanger Special to victory, at age 40. Tony Bettenhausen had passed up the car, because he wanted to drive a newer front-wheel drive vehicle.

He finished 2nd in his first Indy 500 in 1951

He served as a U.S. Marine in the Battle of Guam and the Guadalcanal campaign in WWII. He promised himself that if he lived through the war he would become a race driver.

In 1939 his brother Emilio died while testing an Alfa Romeo 158/159 Alfetta factory racer at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

Ascari won consecutive world titles in 1952 and 1953 for Ferrari. He was the team's first World Champion and the last Italian to date to win the title

He has 5 podiums and 1 win in his career at the 1952 Swiss Grand Prix.

Taruffi began his motorsport career racing motorcycles  and in 1937 set the motorcycle land speed record at 279.503 km/h (173.68 mph).

He achieved 2 podium finishes, and scored a total of 10 championship points

He finished 3rd in a race which marked the reopening of the AVUS. It had been closed for a 14-year period and was damaged during WWII

He achieved 9 podiums in his F1 career

In 1955 he had an ear torn off from a collision

He was dismissed from the Ferrari team after assaulting a team manager, 10 days before his death due to a crash at AVUS

He qualified first for the 1952 indy 500 when he averaged a then record 138.010mph

After his retirement he did commentary for the IMS Radio Network

He was inducted in 2005 to the IMS Hall of Fame

He won the Indy 500 in 1952, at the age of 22 years and 80 days

He is the youngest winner of the race and this also made him the youngest driver to win a round of the F1 world Championship, an honor he held until 2003

Earl was a technical consultant for the English Racing Automobiles team
During a test at MIRA test track in Nuneaton, his car overturned and died in hospital.

He was the first driver to die as a result of a crash in a F1 car.

He participated in 29 F1 GPs, debuting on 21 May 1950.

He achieved 2 podiums, and scored 16 points.

He established a successful wine growing and bottling business.He is also a member of The Air Squadron. In 2016, he became the oldest living F1 driver.

He was a member of German nobility. He started racing motorcycles in 1919. Pre WW2 he owned car dealerships.

He entered 1 race, the 1952 German GP but scored no points.

His racing career lasted 49 years.

He was killed in a crash in the south turn of the IMS during practice for the 1953 Indy 500. He earned the nickname "Dean of the Speedway"

He drove over 5,000 miles at Indy without leading a lap, an all-time record

He won the 1953 and 1954 Indy 500 

Several drivers of his generation have referred to Vukovich as the greatest ever in American motorsport.

He was inducted into several motor sporting hall of Fames

He fought in WWII

He was the Indy 500 Rookie of the Year in 1952 and finished 2nd in 1953.

His car was the "Springfield Welding Special", which was owned by Bessie Lee Paoli, who was the only female owner at the time.

He died from heat exhaustion during the 1953 Indy 500

During the 1st pit stop,he felt sick from the heat and fumes he climbed over the pit wall and collapsed onto a chair

He participated in 23 GP debuting on 13 May 1950, his best finish was 4th at the 1953 Belgian GP

During the WW2 he gained mechanical experience servicing Luftwaffe aircraft.
