LHGs are usually dominated by a parallel male society- a Warriors' Hut & a Shaman. Older males often have multiple wives while junior males have fewer or only one. This is on account of high male mortality. Kids are brought up communally, though paternal investment is still high.

Somehow- miraculously, humans began to gather & organise in vast numbers, while still being Hunter Gatherers who required massive territories to live in.
