Is anyone else interested in flags
The Pan-Arab colours are red, black, green and white and they each represented an Arab dynasty. that’s why lots of Arab countries have similar flags
The oldest flag is that of Denmark, dating back as far as the 1300s
The flag of Nepal is the only non rectangular flag
The flag of Paraguay is different on both sides
The Pan-African colours are red, green and yellow and come from the flag of Ethiopia. lots of other African countries and organisations have adopted this colour scheme for their flags
The flag of Afghanistan has been changed 25 times, more than any other country in the world. the most current flag is from 2013
The flags of Monaco and Indonesia are completely identical
Up until 2011, Libya was the only country to have a flag with one colour on it, green. It is now red, black and green with a white moon and star in the centre
The flag of Jamaica is the only flag to not contain red, white or blue
There is a flag of mars. yes, mars the planet
The flag of Mexico has more colours on it than any other flag (16) although most of them are within the coat of arms
The colours on the flag of Estonia represents the blue sky, black forest and white snow of the landscape
The colours on the flag of Ukraine represent the blue sky and golden wheat fields
