So this is my first #FPL season and i only started taking it serious half way through the season and here are few golden rules for me to keep pinned for next season for myself or anyone else that might find it useful:
1. LADY LUCK
Dont beat yourself over your players not hauling every single week.
People in my ML who picked their team 10 weeks ago and never touched it always have someone who will haul.
There is no REAL skill.
If you analyse a player and bring him in, you did your part.

2. GUT FEELING.
Every single gut feeling I ignored this season turned out to be a good pick.

Bruno, Antonio, Deeney, Ings... etc all on my radar before they hauled, I ignored it. By the time I should have brought them in, had other fires to put out.

3. IGNORE FPL TWITTER.
Twitter makes players essential every 2-3 weeks.
Current world no.4 tweeted that Burnley defence is a horrible pick, only to show he had double Burnley defence the next day after deadline passed.
So yeah, ignore twitter “experts”

4. HITS PAY OFF
Biggest myth in FPL is “dont take hits, hits dont pay off”.
No, stupid and rushed hits dont pay off. My advice is if you ARE considering a hit, make sure his next 3 fixtures are against teams he can haul against and that you feel comfortable putting (C) on.

5. FISH IN A BARRELL
Theres a proverb that says even a blind chicken will snatch a seed. Basically if you follow 500 people and each of them suggests a punt each week, some are bound to stick.
This will make it seem like everyone is right every week.
Keep playing your game.

6. FORM OVER FIXTURES
If you see a player hitting run of form, get him in ASAP dont wait and see.

7. NO ONE IS ESSENTIAL.
Ties back to the ignore twitter but people will have you think that likes of KdB and TAA are esential when players 3-4m cheaper have matched their points tally in last 6-7 games.
Not saying dont own them, but don’t own them because you feel you NEED to.

8. ALL IN THE GAME
Its the biggest cliche in this #FPLCommunity but cliches are just that because they are true:

Ok you have cash leagues so i get it but its LITERALLY a game.
Don’t let ONE player not scoring ruin your weekends or enjoyment of football!

Interact with #FPL accounts. Some awesome people in here from all over the globe. I would tag people here but it would literally take 15 tweets.
This season was great mostly due to people here then the game itself!
