1) The cliché about new moons is that they are great times for starting something. But they happen once a month, so not all of them are, and not all of them are for you. Today's New Moon in Cancer is probably the heaviest of the year.
2) Directly opposite Saturn, this New Moon brings culmination to situations that needed attention. Issues left unattended have nagged for resolution, and this is a time that can be delivered. The themes are agreements and responsibilities in relationships.
3) Be very careful what you agree to at this moment, because Pluto included in this opposition means underlying issues may be at play when others are setting goals. Also be aware that you yourself may not want to lay all your cards on the table.
4) Capricorn/Cancer issues of parenting are highlighted, as are love relationships in terms of the less romantic areas of who is responsible for what.
5) It's not to say that there isn't anything positive about this New Moon, because there is a strong realistic approach in an area where previously there had been fear and trepidation. Just be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
6) Mercury in Cancer will still be square Mars in Aries for the next week or so, and people with strong cardinal planets can still be quite agitated in the way they express themselves. Once the Sun goes into Leo on Wednesday, there is a lot more positivity around however.
7) Relating all this to your own chart depends on which houses of your chart the Capricorn-Cancer axis is on. From this you can see easily the arenas where this will play out.
8) And, of course, this New Moon comes on the back of eclipse season, so it will not usher in the amount of changes the last couple of months have brought, but using it as a starting block may not be well advised. Rather use it to do a practical honest reevaluation of a situation
