Now I worked in the Chinese state school system for a few years, mostly in GanSu province so I can only speak for up there here are some good things about China that never get reported, I'm no CCP shill but no one ever mentions the good things
per classroom reps are elected by vote, starting very early on my 8 years olds elected leaders. This was done each year. Voting was actually quite common place in school.
none of my kids sang at the flag like zombies, though where I was was the singing of "patriotic songs" were quite common place for kids and adults, a little like singing hymns (which I was forced to do in the UK in school)
Exercise, eating well and drinking plenty of water was a huge thing, I used to join in morning exercises which involved a jog around the school or aerobics
Students were encouraged to have a water flask in class and keep it topped up, as hydration improves learning

our school was huge, and had one janitor
this is because the kids learned to be responsible by sweeping and mopping their own classroom, I asked about this to the staff the response was "they want to have a clean classroom, they learn to clean it"

so there a we go a few nice things about China from my experience. The country and it's leadership has a lot of problems imho, but hopefully this can break up your constant stream of anti Chinese content you'll see today.
now I'll add a few well... not so great things from my experience
couple of my classrooms had a window missing, it was like -20c outside which wasn't great - apparently no one could afford to replace them at the time
the school week was
roughly 7am to 6pm (space for lunch and a nap, bit like in Spain was worked in there)
six and a half days a week

my class sizes ranged from 70 - 120 which compared to the west is crazy, luckily Chinese kids are super respectful and easy to manage, though that might have something to do with the cane still being OK.
I'm not sure if it is OK everywhere, and I was told I could only use school approved canes and only after a training session. (I never took the session and I never used one nor even held one)
actually that's a lie I picked one up once thinking it would make a good to stick to point the the chalkboard, the front row of kids all ducked

moving on,
I heard rumors that CCP members got discounts on or even free books and uniforms
I've no reason to think that didn't happen, CCP membership tends to open doors

and the final one, smoking is big in China like really big, smoking was officially banned on school grounds but we all smoked in the office anyway
one teacher would chain smoke through his class, every day
