Jordan Peterson, during a lecture, said that Democracy is derived from the word Demon which Socrates defined as a moral guide (i.e. conscience).

A democratic state is the emerging consequence of the decisions of its citizens. The wiser their decisions, the more upright and functional the state becomes and vice versa. (It's no rocket science!)
Hence, the state can only function if people attend to their consciences.

As Nigerians, we cannot deny the reality of corruption and neglect of the pursuit of common good.

Democracy is a function of numbers and until the larger percentage of our population attend to their consciences and yield to its dictates, our decisions will reek of selfishness and corruption.

And going abroad isn't a safe bet. When your country becomes a global nuisance, imagine what nations will do to dissociate with it.
Change will occur when, on a large scale, we consciously yield to the dictates of our consciences and decide to accept and stand for the truth.
