Thread: @realDonaldTrump @jaredkushner @IvankaTrump @MarkMeadows and/or whoever else is making decisions, are time and again doing so on the terms created by their opponents. It’s very likley that this is a result of being in the storm rather than observing from the outside but
They keep doing it. For example, Trump gave daily pressers. His polls averaged about -6 or so right before ue stopped. But Corporate Media who hardly has Trump’s best interests at heart, kept pushing a narrative that those pressers harm POTUS so he stopped. His polls sank to -13!
Trump gave up on political rallies altogether to placate the same people who welcomed BLM rallies.
“Well, BLM rallies are to sway policy for justice.”
Ok. So are political rallies that drive election turnout which then leads to policy changes. Trump gave up this key thing!

Then we have Fauci. He has his title for many years but it was the @realDonaldTrump admin that elevated him by giving him the floor almost daily. He helps shape policy. Why does he need to speak daily from the WH? Does policy change every 24 hours? By the time Trump decided to
“sideline” Fauci, he was already a hero per media propaganda. Why elevate him in the first place? Oh because media will claim you “muzzled” him? To avoid giving life to this claim (which would have died down anyway), the admin kept givinf him the floor. It gets better/worse:
Last week, @PeterNavarro45 had an op-ed exposing Fauci. Instead of backing it (which would trigger outrage from those who want Trump to lose), VP @Mike_Pence released a photo of him sitting with Fauci to “show” that the Admin has confidence in Fauci. Trump ripped the Op-Ed too.
Amazing how Dem Governors/Mayors supported mass rallies or joined them, but @realDonaldTrump is not holding rallies because he is reacting to pressure from the same media that cheered on those lefty rallies. @AviBerkow your manager Jared is getting sucked into a narrative. Sad.
BTW, taking dictates from adversaries is what @realDonaldTrump did from the get go when he dumped @GenFlynn over a non-story. AFTER he was out, the WH finally kept saying that Flynn was doing his job. Ok. So why fire him? Oh, because he “lied” to Pence. Ok. Fix that internally!
If @realDonaldTrump believed that @GenFlynn was doing his job when speaking to Kislyak, then Flynn’s only wrongdoing was (maybe) lying to Pence regarding the phone call. For THAT you fire a Nat Sec Adviser? Especially when your opponents want him out? This fueled Russia cloud!
Update: Trump to restart briefings. Corporate Media will try to do with it what they did last time. Namely, convince Trump that it is a ness loss for him.
Trump should keep Fauci mostly away. Fauci helps set policy. I don’t think there is new policies to announce daily.

This is yet another example of Trump accepting narratives of his adversaries. A mere few months ago, lockdown models did not mention masks, and the “patriot” line is a recent buzzword from media/Dems.
They say jump and Trump says “how high?”
Then they move to the next thing.

This is now leading CNBC.
Trump tweeted “many people say that it is patriatic.” He did not say yet that this is his stance.
The headline shows how Trump folds for narratives. Too many people in the WH can’t withstand tweets from Dem Super PACs (media).

Trump gave his first briefing today for Coronavirus since announcing its restart. His statement from the notes had every talking point and buzzword that Corporate Media staff have been pushing for weeks. Whoever runs his noise shop needs to stop trying to placate his adversaries.
Which WH genius inserted this line into Trump’s presser: It will “get worse before it gets better”?
This was done to address the buzz that Trump is not taking Covid-19 serious. Ok so the next 3 months, the buzz in media will be that he IS taking it serious and that he is great?

What’s the goal of using that line? It only adds despair (which Trump haters want).
If Trump indeed hits a nerve, the media moves on to the next buzzword. “Testing. Testing. Testing.” Ok, testing were upped like crazy. “OMG! Look at all those record cases.”
See how it works?

Corporate Media say Trump’s suffering a mental decline.
Trump takes a test.
Media result? Trump test is “particularly puzzling because the test is normally administered only if someone is concerned that they/loved ones may are experiencing dementia or other cognitive decline.”

Earlier today, @alfranken made the same point on MSNBC — An outlet that spends days suggestions that Trump has dementia or whatever.
Trump, as always, accepts the narratives of adversaries and he takes a test. Now they mock him for taking it!
