When you grow up you keep your expectations in your heart because if they are not met you don't feel hurt. You become silent, you don't demand anything from anyone and even you stop putting exceptional efforts to keep someone in your life.

You just leave relationships and friendships on hold bc you already know that nothing is permanent and these things doesn't deserve your efforts and energy until you are stable in life (emotionally, financially). Then you learn how mesmerizing being alone is, all bliss.

Being alone doesn't mean being lonely. Alone doesn't mean that you hate people. It just mean that you don't wanna build up a connection w/ wrong people or w/ right people at wrong time. It isn't a escape, it is just a chosen reality. CONFINEMENT.

When we are alone everything revolves around us. We learn the meaning of being selfish. Selfishness according to me is finding happiness in the things you do. Like if you are helping someone, donating, feeding, doing someone work for yourself it should make you happy.

Sometimes we get tired and unwillingly make someone our emotional substitute or we try to find an escape, which is completely fine for a while. Until we aren't hurting others and ourselves.

This doesn't mean family and some close friends aren't important. They are, because they are PERMANENT. They are going to be there till the end of time. You should be their for them when in need but this doesn't mean you'll always need them.

Loners just choose to create happiness alone and propagate that happiness in the world. They don't like to be emotionally dependent. They are happy souls. Don't think they have sadistic feelings about themselves.
Nowadays, what I've observed is that it is a part of growth.
