I hear the new upcoming Star Wars shows, I am EXCITED about them, but here's the prob: they are centered around male characters.

And correct me if I am wrong. Many women have expressed the heartbreak w/TROS: the loss of Rey Nobody, No HEA, etc.
But Idt many male fans understand how awful it is, to loose Rey, to lose THE ONLY FEMALE POV in Star Wars.

I am not saying that female fans cannot enjoy TROS or take away from Rey's arc. I am glad if they do. :)
But Johnson started something new. We started seeing the adolescent female's journey in STAR WARS, told through a girl's eyes.

Again, I am not saying anything new here.
But it is SO RARE to have your story told as a female in SW. Yes, we have great characters like Ahsoka, Leia, etc. But they are told through a male's POV; their stories are told as side stories w/ the centric characters being male.

TLJ grabbed a hold of me b/c for the FIRST TIME, I saw myself in an SW character. And you will hear many women/girls say the same thing: it was the female's awakening.

The reason Rey seems so foreign to us as it was switched to a guy's perspective of what a female heroine should be. Again, it was Leia told from Luke's POV, and Abrams will tell you the same. Rey is a conduit for Luke.

Leia's unfinished business was to take care of the Republic, to fulfill her mother's legacy. Rey's already discovered who she was; her role was to explore her feminine side (setup in TLJ0

This ST was to show you the world of The Other through her eyes. But the story didn't go the way the most female arcs.
And if u doubt, LOOK at the arcs of female-centric characters in FEMALE-BASED LIT/MOVIES.

Or just LISTEN to some of the female fans who entered the Star Wars fandom BECAUSE of the TLJ who are hurt b/c WE KNOW as readers/watchers of female stories that the female voice was ABANDONED for the male POV in TROS.

TROS is a blow to our hearts, for this was OUR story, the OTHER's STORY, the derivation from the norm'ss story of Star Wars.
For the feminine, healer's heart to triumph and for the mother's heart to be rewarded.

That is why it is ALMOST impossible to let go of TROS b/c our voices are NOT heard from most SW podcasters & from Lucasfilm itself.
We're the "toxic" Reylos, the "childish" who want a HEA. For ONCE, SW should've been given to us 4 THE MOTHERS TO RISE UP & GET WHAT THEY WANT.
