How I typically deal with rates, but I’m going to change it up.

Labor/time(editing included) of shoot.
Travel/gas to the location(most of the time 30-1hr+)

Things I don’t typically include is gear, parking, time, quality and value.

.quality gear can cost a lot especially if you want quality content.
Nikon d750 - 1k+
Lenses - 1k+
Lights - 1k+
Maintenance - 100-300+ depending.

parking typically 5-10$ at some locations.

.Quality:
For me it’s the images quality and resolution, the edits, framing, timely delivery, the look and design. I don’t typically charge for this. Even when you guys come to me with nothing but the desire too shoot. Not even mentioning the fx edits.

I typically quote you on:
10-15 images at con.
20-25 images out of con/professional sets.
Weddings min of 100 images.
I usually deliver more than that. So you typically get more than what you pay for. I don’t calculate that.

.another thing I don’t tell people about is if you no show a shoot I lose out on a day that I could of been doing something else and could of been making money. All because you backed out.

.overall I know I should be pricing more. I should be taking a 50% deposit before we even shoot to deter people from even booking if they aren’t serious. I should be doing these things. It’s about time I get serious.

.I have had lots of you guys message me about shoots but don’t legit follow through. I’ve had you guys message about rates and ghost me when I ask for details so I can rate you. It’s one of those things that needs to be clear so you get the best pricing.

.overall I’m very open to shoot with people. I just would rather y’all be more honest about if you are legit down to shoot or not. If you expect free shoots and all that, that’s not always an option for me. Just talk to me and legit get it down.

..also just Incase there was two types of time, time at shoot, and time that was wasted.
