It’s interesting how Monarchy is seen as the best regime, or mixed regime, by the Scholastics. This can be true for the period of ONE good regime, but long term it was a failure in the Bible. 32/40 of the kings in the Old Testament were failures.

Nope. You can have a licit Monarchy without it being explicitly Catholic/Jewish for that time. It just requires the submission to Natural Law. St. Peter talks about submission to Pagan Kings, i.e. valid regimes, not tyrants. https://twitter.com/Integral_Muck/status/1284637035173748740?s=20
