I’ve seen a lot of posts today about being bored in lockdown/being bored without sports and like, I feel this. So here’s a thread of my suggestions that no one asked for, bc I’m also bored af
this is in no particular order, just a stream of consciousness - some gym, some not

Watch your old fave TV shows. You know what happens, you don’t have to watch straight through. Just the good episodes, even skip the parts you don’t like if you want. I’ve been doing it with West Wing and it’s been very cathartic.
Watch old competitions. Search for ones you’ve never seen before, that you missed when they were actually happening. For example, I found footage of 2014 PacRims that I didn’t know existed. And it’s not like I’d never looked. I will always miss Peyton Ernst’s gymnastics

Start something creative. Whether it’s a story you want to write, a song you want to record, something you want to paint or draw or fabricate or model - do it. Even just starting it can give you that endorphin high sometimes. It’s good for you!
And while I’m on the creative note, podcasts are my new jam and I highly recommend both listening and potentially starting your own! You can find mine @definingdisney or at the link below, and for gym, I recommend @HIHOpodcast and @routinepodcast

Get organized. Go through your clothes, donate what you don’t wear anymore (and make sure you sanitize first!), move forward with less clutter. Throw out broken toys & electronics or harvest them for parts. Go through your DVD or video game collection and create a filing system.
Don’t judge, it gives me structure, which lots of us need in lockdown.
Put in some work for racial justice. @gymterken has a great thread here of athletic depts to contact regarding racism in NCAA gym - let’s spend some of our downtime advocating for the athletes we love and support https://twitter.com/gymterken/status/1283947815484432384
Research new recruits! I know it can be depressing to speculate on if they’ll have a season this year, but regardless, NLIs have been signed - you can still get excited about the athletes coming to your fave teams even if their debut might be delayed

Grab your quarantine pod (family, roommate, SO, etc) and play a game! Even if it’s a made-up game like Guess That Gymnast or something, doing something w other people might make you feel better. If you don’t have anyone quarantining with you, Zoom and FaceTime make this possible!
Change up your routine. If you’re sleeping in too long, set an alarm & pick an activity that requires you to get up early - seeing the sunrise, making breakfast, even just taking a shower. If you feel stuck in a rut, intentionally switch it up! Even a little difference can help.
Exercise! I know this sounds like work, but it can be freeing. I think @samisadancer is still holding biweekly ballet classes, including some for beginners, and there are tons of free/cheap online classes rn to help you work out at home. You’ll be surprised how good you feel!
These are just the things off the top of my head I’ve thought of - if you have more ideas, please add them! I’m still working and I still get bored, so I know those of you staying at home must have tons more tips!
