BIG problem today in the #BOXING wagering biz. I am going to tweet a series here addressing the Top Rank/Fan Duel controversy. Please respond to this tweet if your wager has been VOIDED on the Genc Pllana - Raphael Igbokwe. That bout IS HAPPENING Tuesday, wagers should STAND.

The Pilana-Igobkwe boxing match was originally scheduled for last Thursday night, but Top Rank moved the bout to THIS Tuesday, July 21st. Wagers were taking at MANY sportsbooks, both offshore and in the States (Fanduel). Pilana currently showing approximately -200 (continued)...

Unfortunately, Top Rank Boxing has a nasty habit of HIDING bouts from public view on BoxRec. This causes MASS confusion amongst gamblers & sportsbooks (BoxRec has for several years now been used as THE official word for results at sportsbooks). Sportsbooks use it as gospel.

For several hours last night thru to this morning, Top Rank chose to HIDE the PIlana-Igbokwe bout from public view on BoxRec. And several sportsbooks (including Fanduel, USA) VOIDED wagers on the bout. THE BOUT IS STILL HAPPENING. I repeat. THE BOUT is TUESDAY the 21st.

The PIlana-Igbokwe is still scheduled for THIS Tuesday. It is an 8 round bout, and is now currently SHOWING again on BoxRec. Please respond to this series of tweets if your wager has been VOIDED on the bout. That bet needs to stand at your originally wagered price.

I am hoping @FDSportsbook has just made an honest mistake, thinking the PIlana-Igbokwe was cancelled. The bout is scheduled for this Tuesday night, Top Rank Boxing - ALL WAGERS should stand for that bout. If they don't honor your wager please let me know.

Prime example of why boxing promotions HIDING bouts on BoxRec can wreak total havoc at sportsbooks, & the players are punished. Hearing reports from several people that their PIlana-Igbokwe wager has been VOIDED and they have to rebet at a new number. NO SIR. That is criminal.

This is why I beg and plead with boxing promoters to watch the UFC, see the success they have had embracing the gambling scene. Gamblers are not your entire audience, but embracing that culture, playing nice with the sportsbooks, all this can only help build your product.

To make this worse, I have yet to confirm whether PIlana-Igbokwe will make TV broadcast, or be PRE-TAPED (F'N hope not). 7 bouts currently on BoxRec for the Top Rank card on the 21st. Dogboe, Berlanga, Vianello surely hae priority. Another pre-taped disaster likely for gamblers

Once again, if you have had a PIlana-Igbokwe wager VOIDED at FanDuel or any other sportsbook. Please let me know, respond to this tweet series and I will try to help. This kind of stuff CANNOT happen and we need to put pressure on the powers that be to fix these issues. #BOXING
