Following on from last night's look at the accessibility features of Southern trains, let's have a look at Thameslink!

Station staff can deploy ramps to allow step-free access onto our trains. For your safety, our ramps can only take mobility aids that are less than 70 cm x 120 cm and a weight less than 300kg including your weight. – bei Horsham Railway Station (HRH)
Thanks to the @TLProgramme, our "core" stations (London Bridge to St Pancras) have platform humps. This allows level access from platform to train. – bei Horsham Railway Station (HRH)
Each Thameslink train has two accessible areas, each with space for two wheelchairs. There are fixed and folding seats in this area if you prefer them or are travelling with other people.
Next to each wheelchair space is a fold out table and a passenger alarm. In an emergency this let's you speak to the driver. – bei Horsham Railway Station (HRH)
Also in this area you will find large luggage racks. This means luggage can now be kept separately to wheelchairs, which previously was not always possible. There is now a separate cycle storage area further down the train to keep them separate too.
In between the accessible areas there is an accessible toilet. The aisles are wider here to make it easier to reach the toilet, in a wheelchair. – bei Horsham Railway Station (HRH)
Let's have a look in the accessible toilet. – bei Horsham Railway Station (HRH)
There's some grab handles and a fold down support arm next to the toilet. The sink and hand dryer are lower down than in the other toilets. There is also recess underneath that you may find helpful for positioning wheelchair closer to the sink. – bei Horsham Railway Station (HRH)
There are two passenger alarms in the accessible toilet. One on the wall and one near the floor, just in case. – bei Horsham Railway Station (HRH)
Another new feature of these trains is the companion seat. If you travel with a companion or carer, this seat is reserved for them and means you can be seated together.
