a very essential thread on why mikasa is not just “eren centered” or a “slave character dismissive of others concerns”

to start off i want to talk abt mikasa reprimanding eren for being too impulsive or careless in this scene. she isn’t too obsessed with him to the point that it would cloud her morale/ability to want to correct him and believe me when i say u only would correct someone who u love

this scene plays into my claim as a stronger one as she rebukes AND punches eren who talks brashly to armin. a slave won’t stand up to you for ur wrong doings,instead they would nod at anything u do and here is a crystal example of why she isn’t one.

also talking abt when mikasa learnt of erens death by armin. she wasn’t obsessively blind to the point where she would be upset at armin who failed to protect eren instead she WAS the one one who gave courage to him and said that she wouldn’t leave him behind no matter what

not forgetting this absolutely spine chilling look on her face when she realised bertholdt might hurt armin.

oh sl@vekasa propagandists don’t even get me started abt the scene where levi said he would choose erwin over armin. the sheer rage and sorrow she portrayed displayed more than enough abt how she is a caring and loyal freind even if it meant disobedience to superiors

another example of how mikasa genuinely cares for her comrades and friends as equally as she does to eren. if u think she leans towards eren a bit,the answer is simple.that’s love.
