Remember that time when white people suddenly became anti racist on social media for a whole two weeks, then they got bored or overwhelmed and lockdown ended, so they went back to posting pictures of their days at the beach and freshly baked banana bread.

June was wild.
June was wild but it was also massively encouraging to see so many white people becoming engaged with an issue that affects black people every day. But where'd that energy go?
White people have literally nothing to lose by speaking out. Especially those with a platform and large followings. Black people are routinely silenced or reprimanded for speaking out about racism or viewed as difficult, overbearing or hysterical.
We cannot and will not go back to 'normal'.

This post isn't about anyone specifically, however if you feel like it's pointed, it probably means that you could be doing more. It doesn't have to be about you if you're doing the work.
We're gonna need more than a black square and two weeks of your attention.
