Hey everyone, since the word is we’re a test case for the rest of America, here’s a bit of advice from what we’ve learned in Portland
Don’t expect your politicians to do anything to help you. Don’t rely on them for anything. Even if they cared about helping, and most don’t, the federal government has virtually dictatorial powers here. Trying to legislate them away is a dead end.
Hit multiple targets. It’s way easier to send a message if cops don’t know where you’re gonna be. Use bikes and motercycles to block roads so you can march between places quickly.
Don’t let politicians or peace police redirect your energy. That doesn’t do anything to get the cops to back down. Big groups of allies with diverse tactics are welcome, but you aren’t gonna stop this with speeches
Stick together. Walk your friends home. Drop eachother off. Don’t leave people alone.
Dress to blend in. Bring a change of clothes.
Finally make sure to send a message that bringing in feds only makes crowds bigger and angrier
