Thing we white people born in Africa don’t like to acknowledge is that we are African, not European. You can’t just pack up and leave (unless you leave part of you behind).
Weirdest thing when you go north of Southern Africa into Africa and you say you are born in Africa they almost don’t believe you. They’re like WTF? You one of us?
Thing that sets Africa apart is an intense sense of humanity. A connection with your neighbor; the person sharing the pavement with you. This idea of sitting on a train and keeping to yourself is completely un-African. You connect with those around because they are your brothers
