Opening schools will be a hell of a way to discover the reason Covid wasn't too prevalent in kids is because schools were closed.
I guess looking at the transmission rate and total number of cases when schools were shut down versus now would be too much like that "science" that upsets POTUS.

It’s painfully clear Trump’s coronavirus policy is completely based on cherry picking the most optimistic predictions he’s heard over the last 5 months and shutting out any evolving data that contradicts them.
