Your messaging is going horribly wrong. You need to stop. This road only spirals downwards. Organisational SM accounts can't be used to fight ideologies.
Use your personal account for that.
It's obvious that this account is being operated by somebody who's totally inexperienced. https://twitter.com/PetaIndia/status/1284405940347899905

Look at your 'Replies' tab @PetaIndia. You have selectively picked on individuals who have opposed your campaign. You cannot do that. Everybody has the right to point out your flaws and they will. But you cannot use your organisation's account for comebacks. This looks bad on you
The campaign idea is deeply flawed.
Your positioning of the issue calf-leather with Rakshabandhan and initiating sisterhood, when the cow is worshipped as Mother God by many sects of Hindus, is a casual attack on religious sentiments.
They are not missing the point.
You are.

You are.
When you attack a Bengali like me or a Konkani like @ShefVaidya for eating fish & still claiming to be Hindu, you expose your ignorance about Hinduism and the many sects which make the religion open & inclusive.
You shouldn't have treaded into this territory if you are uninformed

Please understand that your stand against cow slaughter and banning calf-leather is most welcome.
But your clever positioning of the issue with Rakshabandhan & invoking sisterhood offends religious sentiments.
Everybody will react if their religious sentiments are hurt.

A Hindu will get equally angry like a Muslim or a Buddhist if their religious sentiments are hurt. Few years ago, may be, they wouldn't have reacted. But now they do.
The people you are giving life lessons to, are amplified voices of the same Hindus, who may have been hurt by you

This campaign is deeply flawed and hurts religious sentiments right from the word go.
In Advertising or PR, if you let your world-views mess around with the campaign idea, you will not only hurt your future professional prospects but the organisation that you are working for

This campaign idea should have been junked right when it was tabled. It is impossible that nobody pointed out the flaws before it was rolled out. But I am sure, may be, a senior decided to indulge a junior.
You must encourage young talent but not at the cost of your organisation.

There's still time. Make amends so that it doesn't hurt Hindus.
Stop that employee who is hiding behind your organisation's SM handle and thinking of witty comebacks to influencers.
That person is changing the very perception of your organisation as Liberal-Left.

Last but not the least, your ambassadors in India are mostly Hindus and are very sensitive towards these issues. They are sympathetic to Hindu religious sentiments and won't tolerate outrage.
Don't let things come to a boil.
Take a step back and don't make this an ego issue.
