The Sun entered Cancer on July 16. Things got real dark real quick. The objectification of mass human suffering through word games (Gemini) is no competition for the visceral biological and psychological reality of human survival (Cancer).
While transits through Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) can shield you from your emotions and even certain sensations for the sake of your survival, transits through Water signs (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio) bring focus to your body.
With Mars in Pisces, and Sun (soon to be a New Moon) in Cancer, your body, and our collective body as the human organism, can no longer be ingnored. Everything FEELS intense when we’ve previously invested deeply in not feeling.
Our minds tell stories about reality. Our bodies realize the consequences of reality. Conflict arises when the two are out of sync.
Preserving the idea of what something is or what it is believed to be often means we get out of sync with the reality of what actually is in space and time, its material existence to which our projections won’t stick.
The next fee weeks are going to be hard. Harder than March and April. Why?
In March + April, we were compelled by a hyper vigilance that gave us the energy to respond to the new threat. But that hyper vigilance is unsustainable. Eventually we must adapt as if the threat is a permanent part of our new reality. This is for the sake of survival.
Conservation of energy (Capricorn where Saturn is) means adapting and conforming to what is rather than forcing change on the world around you.
The Sun in Cancer is approaching its first of three oppositions with Saturn in Capricorn. (The others are in 2021 and 2022.) This is where perception must reconcile with reality.
In Cancer, the Sun (our perceptions) are shaped by the human drives for belonging, food, family, and home (+ woman and our most important connections to them.)
Saturn in Capricorn means Encountering the Constraints of Reality. It says that you must figure out how to get what you need feom what is available, not from wht you think you should have or even what you want.
The entitlement to act and enforce your will on reality is no match for what is. And just because you need it doesn’t mean you will have it or get it. It’s harsh, but real.
