The point of the pink elephant exercise isn’t trying to not think about the pink elephant. The point is to realize that while pink elephants are easy to imagine, they warrant no attention.
Non doing is being aware that you have a choice in all your actions.
You can cut down mindless scrolling by being aware of the space around you and only engaging with the cyberspace when it’s more interesting than the meatspace.
Being aware of the space around you automatically fixes your posture, and even relieves stiffness and stress in your body/mind.
Psychedelics can both raise your awareness or suppress it.
