Why will I Prostrate for the Ooni?

I saw Mr Macaroni's Video where he prostrated for the Ooni of Ife. I saw some people saying they won't prostrate if they met him.
Well, I still prostrate if I meet my friends parents that I know are Yorubas.

A thread...
If I can do this for a parent I will remain on the ground for the Ooni till he tells me to stand up.
What is wrong with most of us?
What is the big deal about kneeling or prostrating for people who want to be greeted that way?
The same set of Nigerians will never stretch out their hands first to the Queen of England if she doesn't offer hers. They know how to greet white man. But they think their own tradition is irrelevant.
Well, I know it's easier said than done shaa.
Most of the people who make baseless statements online will never meet those "prominent" personalities in real life. Or if they met them they'll know all they say is just talks.
I have seen some girls say they won't kneel down to greet their parents-in-law...
Well, if you're Yoruba and I want to marry you, I will prostrate to greet your parents(unless, they tell me I shouldn't be doing that) and my parents expect same. I don't know what you all are trying to do with this weaknesss" crap.
Kneeling or Prostrating is a form of greeting,
... and it is only expected of a wise man to greet people the way they want to be greeted.
If you're a guy, will you keep moving if you saw the Chief of Army staff passing?
You won't because you know what will happen to you baa?
I remember in my secondary school, if the CNS...
- Chief of Naval Staff or Commissioner for Police or the Alake of Egba land visited us and was receiving the general salute, we'll all bloody well stand wherever we are. We can't even shake... But now you think the Ooni who is Ancestral Ruler of the Yoruba Race is irrelevant?
I think what is wrong with most of us is we've not actually been in the presence of Prominent people... That's why we "overrated" ourselves.
If you're a Woman and you think kneeling down or dressing how the people you're going to meet define as appropriate dressing is too much...
then you bloody well stayed away from important people. You will be thoroughly disgraced and nobody I repeat, nobody will do anything about it.
Do you know Dr. Ola Brown?
Well, she's one of the most prominent feminists in Nigeria, she doesn't preach what she doesn't practice...
Her company is Flying Doctors you know them?
(If you don't, Google her, Google them. So before you cry about her, think twice)
She visited the Governor of Zamfara(if I am correct) state recently, she wanted a private-public partnership on this COVID 19 test centres or so.
I saw her picture, she dressed as though she was a Fulani lady! Do you think you're wiser than her?
You think you're too big to respect traditions that are not your own? You think you're too big to respect your own traditions?
You think "Wokeness" means stupidity?
If I go to India and I visit people who require me to greet their parents by kissing their feet...
I'll bloody well Kiss those feet.
Maybe it will kill me ooo... I will know.
IT WILL COST US NOTHING TO RESPECT THE CULTURES AND TRADITIONS OF OTHERS, EVEN IF THEY SEEM UNREASONABLE.
