The garden is overflowing with gorgeous blooms this week so my #SixonSaturday is in six parts. #1 is the roses filling the garden with fragrance: ‘Joie de vivre’, ‘Teasing Georgia’, ‘Jubilee Celebration’, ‘Burgundy Ice’, ‘Darcy Bussell’,’Spirit of Freedom’, &more @cavershamjj 1/6
#2 is the daylilies that have begun to bloom in the past week. Love their cheery, albeit short-lived, blooms. They hold a special significance for me as they are a link to my grandmothers who grew them so well. @cavershamjj #SixonSaturday 2/6
#3 is the wonderful #dahlias that are just beginning their display: some unknowns plus ‘Totally Tangerine’ and ‘Honka Red’. This is the first year I’ve had success with growing dahlias from tubers. Now totally smitten with #dahlialove @cavershamjj #SixonSaturday 3/6
#4 for this week’s #SixonSaturday is the slightly faded Eryngium ‘Big Blue’ for its stunning unusual colour and form. It is loved by butterflies and bees alike. @cavershamjj 4/6
#5 of this #SixonSaturday has to be my meagre attempts at herbs and vegetables. We’re eagerly awaiting the courgettes. Have grown them from seed for the first time this year and especially excited about the round variety! @cavershamjj 5/6 #gyo #Horticulture
Finally (thanks for bearing with me) the sixth has to be the final blooms of the self-seeded poppies that have brought colour to the garden for many weeks now. Glistening with beads of rain this morning. @cavershamjj #SixonSaturday 6/6
