Folks love to sling opinions on here, but what white people always forget is that Black folks cannot have casual opinions like they can.

What we say is held to a different standard, and the impact is significant.
Long after a white person's righteous indignation or quippy dunking is forgotten, Black and Brown people will be seen as "difficult" and "bad for business" by the same people who shared our tweet calling something out.
The amount of white people that unthinkingly ask Black and Brown people to put themselves in potentially harmful positions for their casual curiosity or need to be validated on things that ultimately will not effect them (the white people) is absolutely staggering.
Black people are constantly, on here and in real life, doing the mental math of whether or not the need to be heard is worth the damage it will (not can, WILL) do.
Hell, I am stressed about tweeting this at all.
